A lot of students, they probably didn't start work propler until they finish university, So that would've involved getting a job in their 20s : 20대에 직장을 갖는다고 볼 수 있겠네요.

so teaching has always been your calling even from the get-go: 가르치는일은 항상 천직이었나보네.

I've had a lot more of an eclectic career. I have the jump on you : 제 이력은 훨씬 다채로워요, 선생님보다 일찍 일을 시작했어요.

She pressured me into going in and asking the man for a job. : 일하라고 밀어붙이고  남자분께는 일을 저에게 달라고 부탁하셨어요.

I was so embarrassed and mortified. : 부끄럽고 창피했다.

when i went to uni, I slacked off work for a while : 대학교에 간 후에는 해이해져서 일을 쉬었다.

I already had a job lined up for when i graduated : 졸업할때 이미 일을 구해놨었어요.

 

you're frantically on indeed, which is the leading job website  : 정신없이 인디드에 접속해있었어요.

 

done in a hurried way and in a state of excitement or confusion:

 

• They worked frantically to finish on time.
• 그들은 시간에 맞춰 끝마치기 위해 정신없이 일을 했다.

It really gets on my nerves : 그것은 너무 짜증난다.

 

They make you spend like half an hour filling out bespoke application forms that just are the same things as your CV : 괜히 30분 더 투자해서 CV에 있는걸 맞춤형으로 다시쓴꼴이네요

It's thoroughly infuriating : 그야말로 미치겠어.

 thoroughly : completely, very much:

infuriating : extremely annoying:

 

you have to keep that up in the interview : 면접에선 계속 거짓말을 해야하고.

keep that up  : to make something continue at its present level and not allow it to fall:

 

while you're having this conversation - you're trying to subtly work out what one this is and if you can remember : 대화를 하는 도중에도 거기가 어딘지 뭘하는곳인지 묘하게 떠올려본다.

cutthroat : not involving considering or worrying about any harm caused to others:

-The advertising world can be a very cutthroat business.

 

It shouldn't be aloowed to take into account your age, sex, appearance in(within) reason : 도리상,당연히 고려할수없다.

 

win them over with your chaming looks :

• win them ove : 설득하다, 자기편으로 끌어들이다
